The Fort Collins Welcome Center operates as the city’s primary Visitor Welcome and Information Center while also serving as a musical, artistic, cultural, and communal convening space for Fort Collins. The venue includes a small stage area with four fixed stage lights: two front lights (stage left and stage right) and two lights covering the backstage/changing area behind the projection screen. There are also eight RGBW audience/stage wash lights that can be controlled individually. While they are not programmable or capable of running automated cue stacks, they can be turned on/off, dimmed, faded, and mixed to create a variety of colors and moods. The venue has a large projection screen as well as two TV displays that can be used for video, graphics, or presentation content. Video sources can be switched and controlled from the venue's touchscreen system.Audio support includes two wireless microphones, and there are XLR audio connections available for bringing in additional sound equipment if needed.Simple lighting changes, fades, color shifts, sound cues, music playback, and projection cues are all possible. The space works well for presentations, storytelling, theatrical performances, spoken word, small musical acts, and multimedia productions.
