Danielle Ate the Sandwich

Danielle Ate the Sandwich is the stage name of Danielle Anderson, a songwriter, recording artist, and comedic performer based in Kansas City, MO. Danielle got her start in music and performing at open mic nights in Fort Collins, CO, while she attended Colorado State University. Performing original comedy characters since 2019, Danielle creates sweet, outlandish, absurd characters who are deeply flawed and deeply relatable. Through monologue and original songs, they explore love, hope, disappointment, and vulnerability. Danielle Ate the Sandwich creates performances that are an interactive shared experience, celebrating what it is to be human.


Danielle’s first one woman stage show ‘The Greatest Garage Sale Ever’ was the winner of “Best of Bird Comedy Theater", “Made in KC” and the “Englewood Partnership Programs” Awards at KC Fringe 2024. Danielle was awarded a two year Charlotte Street Studio Residency in 2023, and was an ArtsKC Inspiration Grant Recipient in 2024.
